Picks and Bottle Trees

Sometimes towns offer some more eccentric experiences ... in this case, Old Town Victorville, California has Elmer's Bottle Tree Farm.

Waiting for the Bus

Road trips don't always require a car, and very often it's better to park the car (if you have one with you) and join the local folk to take the public/mass transportation. You might even stumble upon this bus shelter and the goats while passing through Fort Chochin (Kochi), India.

Might I add an additional kudos to Uncornered Market for their amazing photographs and stories detailing their adventures around the world.

Around the Corner

Vibrancy is a keen part of any road tripping experience. Just as one doesn't necessarily appreciate grey cloudy days, the sunny 'blue blue' sky mornings accent our energy level when we just want to get out there. Folks journeying through Valparaiso, Chile will want to slow down and seek out these bold architectural colours in the area -- regardless of the weather.

Look out

for signs -- a justified element of fun on the road. In this case, seek these out while travelling through Morin-Heights, Québec, Canada.

Looking Beyond

There's almost always an element of spirituality when road tripping. Choose your path and take whatever road you want. If ever the opportunity arrives while passing through the city of Amritsar in India, take a pause for contemplation and reflection at the Golden Temple -- Harmandir Sahib or Darbar Sahib.

Art on the Side

It's always fun to see art displayed and sold on the side of the road. Haiti appears to have a fantastic collection here.

Arts & Science

On the road through Valencia, Spain ... be sure to stop to admire the architecture and get your infusion of culture and science in the City of Arts and Sciences (Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències).
